Understanding the Google 7-Day Security Buffer

Google Brand Accounts enforce an automated 7-day (168-hour) waiting period between adding a new manager and allowing them to be promoted to "Primary Owner". This is a built-in Google security feature designed to prevent account theft.

How CreatorNova Handles the 7-Day Buffer:

  1. Day 0: Seller invites the Buyer's Gmail as "Owner" or "Manager" in YouTube Studio / Google Brand Account settings.
  2. Day 0: Buyer accepts the invitation and confirms Manager access in CreatorNova dashboard.
  3. Days 1-7: CreatorNova holds 100% of the purchase funds safely in escrow.
  4. Day 7: The 168-hour timer expires. The Buyer clicks "Promote to Primary Owner" in Brand Account permissions and removes the Seller's Google account.
  5. Day 7: Buyer clicks "Release Payment" and the Seller receives payout.
